Good to know

Do I need to know how to swim?

Basic comfort helps, but every guest wears a life vest and stays with a guide. Non-swimmers welcome.

Are turtle sightings guaranteed?

Akumal Bay is a resident feeding ground, so sightings are very common year-round. We never chase or touch the turtles.

What’s included in the price?

Mask, snorkel, life vest, bay conservation fee and your certified guide. Bring reef-safe sunscreen.

How do I get to Akumal?

Akumal sits on the Cancún–Tulum highway: about an hour south of Cancún airport, and 30 minutes from both Playa del Carmen and Tulum. We’ll send exact meeting-point details after booking.

Ready to dive in?
